Control Transformers

Control transformers with galvanic isolation are used for supplies of control systems with more than two consumers in accordance with EN 60204. Designed in accordance with VDE 0113, control transformers also provide continuous power in the event of short-term overloads. BLOCK's standard range includes power ratings of between 20 VA and 25,000 VA.

Safety Transformers

Safety transformers with galvanic isolation provide a reliable supply to power circuits with the safety measures “protective separation” or “protection through shutdown”. Double or reinforced isolation between the primary and secondary sides protects SELV and PELV circuits. Safety transformers provide safety extra low voltages below 50 Vac or 120 Vdc. BLOCK's standard range includes power ratings of between 0.5 VA and 2,500 VA.

Applications

• FAIL-SAFE transformer as an isolating transformer for the safe electrical isolation of the input and output sides. The transformer may be used to set up protective separation as a protective measure in accordance with VDE 0100.
• FAIL-SAFE transformer as a control transformer for electrical isolations of the input and output sides. The transformer is designed to provide control in compliance with EN 60204
• FAIL-SAFE transformer as a safety transformer to secure electrical isolation of the input and output sides. By limiting the output voltage, this transformer is suitable for the construction of both SELV and PELV electrical circuits.
