The Limitex rotary limit switch is specially designed for controlling the precise movement of industrial machinery operating in potentially explosive areas. In these environments, an explosive atmosphere can consist of a mixture of air and combustible gases, vapors, fumes, or powders that can quickly propagate combustion (resulting in an explosion) when ignited at atmospheric pressure. The Limitex limit switch serves as an auxiliary controller for electrical motors, seamlessly interfacing with power interfaces such as contactors or PLCs. With its reliable performance and rugged construction, Limitex ensures safe and efficient operation in challenging industrial settings.


  • A wide range of revolution ratios ranging from 1:15 to 1:499, including standard ratios of 1:20, 1:25, 1:50, 1:75, and 1:100. Custom non-standard revolution ratios are also available upon request.
  • The transmission of movement from the input shaft to the output shaft is accomplished through a combination of a worm gear, a helical toothed gear, and one or more pairs of straight toothed gears.
  • Achieving the desired revolution ratios involves utilizing various combinations of gear wheels between the input shaft and the output shaft, which is directly connected to the cams.


  • The limit switches feature a durable external enclosure constructed from G20 cast iron, providing excellent protection against water and dust.
  • To prevent oxidation and wear, the transmission and gear driving shafts are meticulously crafted from AISI 316 stainless steel.
  • The data nameplate is also skillfully crafted using stainless steel material.
  • The gear wheels and driving bushes are made from a self-lubricating techno-polymer material, meticulously selected to minimize wear and maintain accurate couplings over time.
  • Sintered bronze bushes are seamlessly integrated into the base of the limit switch, optimizing shaft rotation and preventing any rubbing with plastic materials.


  • Limitex offers the option to equip cam sets with 2, 3, or 4 switches, allowing for flexible customization.
  • The limit switch is available with direct control switches, enabling direct operation on the transmission.
  • Equip with snap action switches featuring 1NO+1NC change-over contacts.
  • With fixing feet included, the limit switch can be conveniently equipped with a flange for direct coupling to the transmission.
  • Special output shaft dimensions can be accommodated upon request, providing tailored solutions.
  • A wide range of revolution ratios, ranging from 1:15 to 1:1578, achieved through the combination of various secondary output stages.
  • Precise cam settings can be achieved for each cam, thanks to the cam adjusting screws, ensuring accuracy and fine-tuning capabilities.
